Cranberry Sauce with Ginger and Lime, Vegan, Gluten Free

Traditional Cranberry sauce with a tropical twist. The bold tart flavor of cranberries shines with a squeeze of fresh lime juice and a gingery back note. This sauce can be made up to four days ahead of time.

  • 12 ounces Fresh Cranberries
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 Lime Juice
  • 2 tsp Fresh Ginger, grated
  • Zest from one lime


  1. In a medium sauce pan place, the water, sugar, and zest. Place over medium heat and stir until the sugar has dissolved.

  2. Add the cranberries and simmer 6 minutes.

    Add the ginger and zest and simmer six minutes more until the cranberries pop.

  3. Remove from the heat and stir in the lime juice. It will thicken as it cools. Store in a covered container in the refrigerator.
